The introductory of the business ethics at first talks about the problems Iin business as individual, because of the importance of work for us as individuals, it is understandable that our initial worries about the business world should bear on our own self-interest. We are self-centered most of the time. Knowing that we as an employer must provide job for the jobless yet we still underestimate them that they are just our worker yet instead we should treat them as our brothers and sisters. Like for an example is the Rebisco Company that I have watched in one of the show of GMA7 they protect their employees providing their incurred problems in life the Rebisco Company is always there to help them.

The need to think beyond our own self-interest can be noted by imagining that we live in a society that discriminates the blue-collared jobs. They don’t want what they are now, everyone aims to havce a job that is stabe and substantial for their needs. Still they received treatments that is not high compare to other social classes. Discrimination in our society is very visible in any other aspect.

Lack of education that cause lack of skilled workers for the bottom-of-the-pyramid society, this results that the people belongs to the bottom-of-the-pyramid increase because their children inherit what they are even if they don’t want. The society will not improve if no one helps them and they must also know that they must do a lot of job for them to attain high. The business must be concern about their employees, by giving them the best benefits they must have and receive a just compensation for what they had done.

The view that skin color and eye color are not morally relevant characteristics in determining who shall receive economic harms and benefits does not establish what characteristics is morally relevant.

Justice is what moral and legal rights that may offer,  it is very important that justice is given morally and legally. The freedom of others is limited for what is your freedom. The business in some way should be morally inclined and legally act in any other way this could reflect on how the business will interact internally and externally through their competitors and also their customers the business should now the individual rights in business.

Another topic discuss in the book is the hiring quoted from the book “the person is hired preferentially if and only if that person is hired instead of somebody else who better satisfies usual and fair hiring criteria for the job, and is afforded this advantage for reasons dictated by moral principle”

The book is right when they say it is the most qualified that’s why he is hired. In the situation of the Philippines there are many job offerings today, but who are qualified. That is the question, The call center industry is now bigger and bigger and needs to acquire lots of work force each and everyone of us is qualified this minimal requirement in the call center that is to speak in English is easy. That becomes each and everyone of us qualified.

Giving preference for the qualification for a certain job is moral, it is for them the business who is qualified rather than getting people and they could have a problem in training this people who got hired. There are two arguments that is discuss the looking-forward and looking-backward. This talks about the possibility that of the person that must be hired anytime and what he can do and what can the company expect from him.
